One of the most common issues I address in my lesson studio is an inefficient traditional grip.  Of the 2-3 common misunderstandings of the grip, this one is the easiest to fix/adjust/monitor.  The issue is likely not your “dumb” left hand (I hear that a lot from right-handed people), but likely starts with your elbow.
